On Saturday May 6th, Tampa Bay residents had the chance to meet and talk with local emergency services and program leaders.
Important organizations like Hillsborough County, City of Tampa & USF emergency management were there. Along with CSX, Cargill, Mosaic, Port of Tampa as well as many others were there. Each provided their own perspective on emergency preparedness and provided visitors with resources, supplies and important information.
Visitors were also able to watch a demonstration by Tampa Fire Rescue. They showed how they use the Jaws of life to deconstruct a car to rescue trapped victims.
We would like thank our CERT members and all other volunteers who came out and supported this event. We appreciate your time and commitment to making our community safer.
