Every semester, USF CERT, USF Disaster and Humanitarian Relief Student Collaborative (DAHR-SC), and USF's University Emergency Medical Student Association (UEMSA) partner to bring Preparedness On The Lawn to the Marshall Student Center lawn this week. This outreach event features 8 stations for participants to visit, each themed with a different preparedness topic.
Stations this semester included:
First Aid, taught by UEMSA
Citizen's CPR, taught by Gabby Deleon of USF CERT and DAHR
Triage, taught by Anthony Woodson of USF CERT
Disaster Preparedness, taught by Diana Yang of USF CERT
Fire Safety, taught by USF Facilities Management
DAHR Information, taught by Elizabeth Dunn & Chris Smyth of USF CERT
CERT Information, taught by Jay Rajyaguru of USF CERT
Pizza, manned by Joseph Rosa of USF CERT
Over 100 students, staff, and community members visited the event, each of them leaving with a little more vital preparedness knowledge than they had before.
